Once again, Symplectic will be making an appearance at the VIVO Implementation Fest, taking place this year at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. We’ll have a presence there over the two days of March 16th and 17th. Why not come along and meet some of our team?
The goal of the VIVO ‘IFest’ is to help facilitate ongoing VIVO implementations. It’s an opportunity for implementation teams to gather, learn and exchange information related to technical and policy/adoption aspects of VIVO.
Symplectic will be represented by our North America Client Services Manager, John Gieschen, and our Senior Technical Consultant, Alex Viggio. Both are experts on VIVO and other Research Information Management implementations. They look forward to this opportunity to interact with the community and share their know-how, including information on our latest open source VIVO connector (which you can read about, and download, at our Github page).
And for an insiders’ view of last year’s event at Duke University, have a look at this Storify page.
While you’re there, make sure to spend some time exploring the Rose City, famous for its food carts, craft beer, eclectic inhabitants, and lack of sales tax. It’s an easy town to navigate, with an extensive, affordable public transportation network.
Finally, make sure to register if you’re attending – while you’ll have to arrange your own travel and accommodation, the event itself is free of charge.
