Jeff is focused on Symplectic’s products and resources and the value they bring to customers, supporting business initiatives by working with institutions in the Western half of North America. Jeff studied geosciences (BSc) and library and information science (MLS), and before coming to Symplectic spent over 25 years working in the scientific and scholarly information industry. A good bit of this time was focused on the evaluation and indexing of published research, and building relationships with the publishers of scholarly content. However, over 12 years were devoted specifically to working with academic institutions worldwide in their use of information discovery resources as well as diverse publication and research performance metrics.
Jeff is based in Colorado, living “at altitude” near a small town within the front range of the Rocky Mountains. However, he is a Philadelphian born and raised and a piece of him will always feel that Philly, and its food, and Phillies baseball, is home. In his spare time he loves exploring Colorado and the Rocky Mountains with his family — hiking, camping, just being there. He also enjoys family excursions into civilization to experience the culture, history, food, and high-end bowling alleys it has to offer.
