Kate is responsible for open access and repository related product development and community engagement. She joined the Symplectic team in London in 2016 relocating from Sydney, Australia.
Kate’s background is in libraries, research information management and open access. Kate is a former client who worked UNSW Library for over six years developing and delivering research systems and services including managing Symplectic Elements.
Kate is an active member of the international library profession and is committed to creating professional development opportunities for herself and her colleagues. Kate’s work as a co-founder of the global peer mentoring program, the International Librarians Network was recognised in 2016 with the ALA Library Journal’s Movers & Shakers Award.
Outside of work you will find Kate wandering the streets and exploring the many art galleries and museums in London. She also loves to experiment in the kitchen sharing her creations with her friends and family.
